I’ve really been thinking about the potential construction of Bernie’s pending revolution to try to understand how it could possibly work. No, this is not snark and no, I am not a fan of Bernie Sanders. With that said, I’m truly trying to understand the “possible” components, tactics and target of this revolution.
Let’s test the Single Payer for a moment to see how the revolution “could” possible work.
1. Bernie sends his plan to Mitch McConnell who is in office until 2021
2. Mitch refuses to bring the bill to the floor
3. The National Revolution is quickly unleashed
- Students start sit-ins all over America
- They protest the Congressional buildings
- Thousands of students march on Congress
- Millions of students take to Twitter and Facebook
- The MSNBC hosts, Kos and all the blog site hammer the SP hard
- The students continue the pressure through year 17, 18, 19, 21
- Every day, they turn up the pressure until they vote McConnell out of office
4. Mitch somehow loses Kentucky to a democrat
5. Now, the Dems recapture 55 seats in the Senate
6. The Cons can either filibuster or let the bill go to the floor for fear of the revolution
7. Five conservative republicans join the Dems, pass the bill, and send it to the Republican House
8. The bill dies in the House
9. Now, the year is 2022
- Students in Georgia, Utah, West Virginia---all over the red states bind together to remove enough conservative Cons to take the House
- Enough Cons lose because their T-party constituents after they start pinning for even more healthcare than they tried to
10. And then, the Dems are successful with taking the three branches of Government... after the sustained, daily, unrelenting 7-year student revolution.
The revolution is completed because the then 83 year-old Sanders is huddled-up with activists, plotting strategies on how to get SP through. There are no other issues that will pull him away like school shootings, hurricanes, wars and terror.
Is this the plan?
Wow…really?
